TMT Bars

Thermo Mechanically Treated (TMT) re-bars manufacturing involved a combination of processes. Plastic deformation of steel in austenitic stage is followed by quenching and further tempering. The precise controls of all critical operation, ensure uniform properties in each piece. The near to perfect process guarantees the CHALLENGE TMT re-bars with a soft ferrite & pearlite fine grained core with a strong and tough tempered martensite layer resulting in high ductility as well as improved strength thus making it ideal for high rise buildings, dams, bridges, residential projects and critical structures where high yield strength is required without compromising on the elongation properties. CHALLENGE TMT bars are made only from BIS approved billets / ingots and available in Fe 415 & Fe 500 grade, highly suitable for seismic prone areas.

Advantages of TMT Bars

Saving up to 20% of Steel Compatible for Pre-fabrication of mesh Suitable for areas prone to fire hazards Suitable for seismic loadings due to enhanced fatigue resistance
Better safety for high-rise Structures Better corrosion resistance compared to CTD bars Ease in working on-site
